Podcast: What’s Treading with Tire Review

I host a biweekly podcast and interview tire industry experts on the latest economic trends, business data, management and leadership as well as tire technology trends. I am responsible for creating a schedule of guests, researching each guest and topic, coordinating with the video team to record these podcasts in-studio, editing the video and audio versions of the podcast and promoting them via social media.

I am the executive producer on this podcast, which features retired Bridgestone executive, John Gamauf, interviewing tire dealers across the country about their time in the tire business and what makes their business successful. I am responsible for researching questions for the podcast and preparing the host for the podcast, coordinating its Zoom recording between guests and the host as well as editing and coordinating promotion and circulation of the podcast across certain Babcox Media brands.

Jeff can’t afford sewer fixes, seeks EPA delay

Jeffersonville, Indiana has a sewer system wrought with problems and one of the highest sewer rates in Southern Indiana. To comply with EPA standards, the city has asked the federal agency to extend its deadline to make all of the fixes to its sewer system. With an extension the city believes it will avoid raising sewer rates drastically and be able to pay off bonds to finance new projects.

Unbridled Eve: I live tweeted from the red carpet of this annual party, held on the eve of the Kentucky Derby. I researched the Twitter and Instagram handles of celebrities in attendance and also did Facebook Live with another reporter, giving people an inside look into the party. One of my tweets about Jennifer Lawrence’s mother garnered 103 likes and 47 retweets.

University of Kentucky’s loss in the NCAA tournament: Seconds after the University of Kentucky men’s basketball team lost in the Sweet 16 of the March Madness tournament, I posted a photo of a dejected Wildcats team on Instagram with the caption “Well fought, Wildcats. Tap twice if you agree. #BBN.” The photo received more than 300 likes.

Stigma of violence (Facebook video): Using text on video software, I created a sharable video about a pool in the West End of Louisville that had a hard time getting lifeguards because of the violence in the neighborhood. The video garnered over 28,000 views and 22 shares in less than a day.
